Troy University - Theta Delta

Alpha Omicron Pi's

Core Values

Commitment to

Alpha Omicron Pi was founded on a promise to serve not only one another but the greater community as well. This commitment reflects a philosophy of friendship, concern, and usefulness in the world.

Commitment to

Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Commitment to
College Loyalty

From collegiate years on through alumnae involvement, the reason AOIIs continue service is the joy of spending time together and sharing the insights learned from the relationships we build and sustain.

Letter from the President

Welcome to our sisterhood! Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.

When I was a freshman coming to Troy, I had no idea what was waiting for me in Alpha Omicron Pi. I remember immediately connecting to the values of character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty. 110 College Drive became my home away from home.

As one of our founders Stella George Stern Perry so beautifully said, "Of all the blessings we count over, it seems to me none is greater than the consciousness of belonging to a family of thousands of sisters." Sisterhood is one of the most precious things you can experience in life, and AOII gives that opportunity. Sisterhood is late nights in the chapter room watching the newest rom-com and sharing snacks you baked together in the house kitchen. Sisterhood is cheering each other on in intramural sports. Sisterhood is dancing the night away at formal, serving together at juvenile arthritis camps, and studying together. But more importantly, sisterhood is being there for each other, no matter what. AOII is not just for your college years, it is a bond that will last a lifetime.
